Gia has given me hope!! I was diagnosed with scoliosis at age 10 and was forced to wear a brace for 4 years. It never really bothered me, I stayed active and because of my condition I worked very hard to stay limber and fit. After having children, my body began to fail me, even after all of the yoga, chiropractors, inversion beds and years in the gym I could actually feel the scoliosis taking its toll. Yoga kept me limber, the chiropractor was always a short-lived remedy that had to be repeated weekly and medication just masked the problem. I basically gave up. And then I found Gia and Presidio of Pilates. Wow! I am working muscles that obviously have never been worked, strengthening the parts of my body that keep me aligned. I think that having someone who can actually watch what's going on with my back and corrects while I'm working out makes all the difference. I can do things now that I haven't been able to do in years without pain or overcorrecting. I highly recommend Presidio of Pilates to anyone who is tired of constant pain.
